Foreign tourists arriving at major airports in Greece had a minor decrease of 3.3% last year, according to final statistics released by the Association of Hellenic Tourism Enterprises (SETE).
The total figure for 2012 was 11.3 million, compared to 11.7 million in 2011 which unexpectedly narrowed the tourism decline last year to a minimum, in contrast to fears of a double-digit percentage drop.
Athens International Airport announced a decrease of 11.8 %, unlike Thessaloniki, Macedonia Airport (pictured) which shows an increase of +5%, Xania + 9.2 % and Kefalonia +13.1% .
